Jim and Lisa Favors
Briefly... we have lived in Traverse for over 25 years while raising three sons,
working and becoming seasoned boaters on the Great Lakes.
Jim retired from Merrill Lynch where he had been the branch manager and a
financial consultant and Lisa retired from Knorr Marketing as a graphic designer in 2000.
We spent the first year of retirement traveling the 6,000-mile Great Loop route on our boat, Kismet. Jim obtained his U.S. Coast Guard Captain's licence before we left on the trip.
Last year we published When the Water Calls... We Follow. Currently, we have been writing for several boating magazines. We are both writing online articles for Boat U.S., Jim has recently become a cruising editor for Waterway Guide while Lisa has been concentrating on photography.
